My name is Juniper Royse, or better known by the kids I work with, Miss. Juni. I'm 18 years old, and my goal is to become a preschool teacher. I have worked with kids in some capacity for over four years now, but I've been at the Trojan Way Little Learners daycare for 2 years now through the co-op program. I love vintage clothing, writing, baking, and of course spending time with kids. I am currently enrolled in three dual credit classes for SKYCTC, and my plan is to start at SKY for two years, and transfer to WKU to finish out my degree in Early Childhood Education. Once I graduate high school I will continue working at local daycares until I can one day have my own classroom of kids I can love and nurture.

EDUCATION

Here I am, blowing bubbles to the 2-5 year old kids at the Trojan Way Little Learners daycare during a lesson week about circles. Giving them a fun and hands on activity related to their current focus topic. I enjoy giving them the opportunity to have some hands on play when I can, seeing them so happy warms my heart. Little moments like these always help me with my own social capacity.
Here I am, painting the hand of a three year old enrolled at the Trojan Way Little Learners Daycare during an arts and crafts project. I always love arts and crafts with the children, as do they. He giggles while I paint. Doing arts and crafts help me to develop my own creative skills through them.

Here I am reading a book to a group of preschool age children at the Trojan Way Little Learners daycare. One of them sits in my lap as I read, all of them close. I adore reading to the children, growing their literary skills and having the opportunity to snuggle up with them and encourage their imaginations through story telling. This also helps me with my own individuality, being able to be creative and imaginative with them.

Here I am, dancing with a classroom of children ages 2-4 years old at the Trojan Way Little Learners daycare. One kid is held on my hip clapping while I reach to hold the hand of another child. I always love promoting healthy movement with kid friendly and educational songs. No matter how tired I may be, they never know it, and I always dance with them. Dancing with the kids help me to develop my skills in confidence.
